Ooh, yes. All the time with the more ‘unusual’ languages, like Japanese. And I never know what to say - I usually settle for ‘nanda?’ and if they ask for more I panic and start searching for objects that I know. When it happened last night, at a restaurant, it ended up with me seizing a chair and going ‘ISU DA’ ^^;;
