ice rink au (for tompleasestop) || every friday night as he leaves the rink, figure skater tom finds himself catching eyes with chris, the power center-forward on the local hockey team, shuffling in for late night practice. neither having had previous interest in the other’s sport, they are both surprised at their rising intrigue. they are charmed by each others’ eventual gestures— greetings with hot cups of cocoa after coming off the ice; a scarf to wrap around tom’s neck when he tentatively begins staying behind to watch chris train; offers of foot rubs for sore feet— and what starts as something of a bashful crush, in time, grows into more, a sappy mess of steamy after-practice encounters in the centre showers, dinner dates, and post-game/competition bouquets.

Cackling over the use of Evan here (they’re the same height and Tom would therefore have the same problems, but there the similarities end THANK GOD), but there can never be enough figure skating/ballet AUs.
